Three "Bon Odori" in Ginza during Midsummer

We're in the heart of the traditional Japanese summer festival season in Tokyo, featuring the "Bon Odori" dance. Yesterday, there were three Bon Odori events in the Ginza area. Unfortunately, they all concluded yesterday, but let us give you a glimpse of the atmosphere.

First, the Bon Odori at Tsukiji Hongwanji. This is a large-scale festival held annually, attracting many people from both nearby and abroad. Yesterday marked the final day of the four-day festival.

Tsukiji, once known for its market, still hosts a collection of renowned food spots, and many famous Tsukiji establishments had food stalls at the event, drawing large crowds.

Moving five minutes west, we reached Chuo-dori Ave in Ginza, where two special one-day Bon Odori events took place.

The first was at Ginza Six on Ginza 6.

Uniquely, it was held on the rooftop, offering beautiful views of Ginza and central Tokyo's nightscape, bustling with a large crowd.

Then, at Ginza 4 on the streets of Ginza. The event took place right in the middle of Ginza Chuo-dori Ave., one of Japan's most famous streets.

This bustling area transformed into a vibrant festival venue for the midsummer.
